Temporary admission of goods into Paraguay

Frontanilla Estudio Aduanero handles the temporary admission regime, which lets foreign goods enter Paraguay for a set period and purpose with full or partial suspension of duties, and then be re-exported.

How it works

Paraguay's Customs Code (Law 2422/04, arts. 166 to 175) defines temporary admission as foreign goods staying in the customs territory for specific purposes, with full or partial suspension of duties, and with the obligation to re-export them unchanged within the set period. A guarantee in favour of Customs is required. If the conditions are not met, the goods are treated as imported and duties become payable.

When goods are processed, repaired or assembled in Paraguay, the usual route is temporary admission for inward processing or the maquila regime.
